FS. I have a pair of new OEM left and right side heater boxes w/cable connectors (not the cables) for a 914-6. Sold my 6 prior to installing. Purchased for $130/ea. Selling the pair for $175/offer - Ugh. Would love these to go to someone in our group prior to broader market. Thanks David

Now that these are sold Was hoping to get a clarification. Recently I was told these are the same for a 4 or 6…….would someone please LMK the situation … Thanks The fours are often used on sixes and work fine but the real six flapper boxes have a large opening on the top of the cap. I made a couple copies with a hole saw. The last pic is my copy. More info - http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...&hl=Flapper Attached thumbnail(s) Attached image(s) |

I always wondered why the sixes had the holes in the tops?
Was it due to the sixes generating too much heat? |

I always wondered why the sixes had the holes in the tops? Was it due to the sixes generating too much heat? I don’t think it’s too much heat generated. I think it just allows more airflow out the flapper boxes. Unless I have it wrong, air is always moving through the heat exchangers on a 4 or 6 so the larger exit on the 6 flapper box just helps keep the air moving through the system. |
