While doing research on superchargers (mosty vane as in the Judson supercharger) I came across the Shorrock supercharger.

The Shorrock
Shorrock Supercharger

Sold mostly for MG's and VW's it was marketed by EMPI for the VW crowd.

Just thought some might be interested since you cannot supercharge a 914, hahahaha

I like the idea of a supercharger.

These look small and relativly simple in concept, and I feel that it could be made to work on a Type 4.

This one looks like a winner. I'd love to have one to install. But a production run of maybe only 500 units, and production halted over decades ago.... well thats going to make it a bit hard to find, and get parts for if (err when) you break it.

Tim,

the Corrados used a G-lader supercharger....very different design, I've tried to find some nice pictures of the internals, but I have yet to find anything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I recently came across an old magazine, no wait, maybe it was a recent European Car,
whateva...

compared the Corrado with the SuperCharger vs the Corrado with the VR6

the vr6 model won out, hands down.
That s.c. anyway, wasn't a very good fit for that car.
