As ya'll know, I crashed my 914 and now I have to get another. I'm going to do a color change and I was wondering what color people hated. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I figure if I'm going to change it, it should at least be a color that no one wants. So lets have the votes. BTW, insurance company is giving me $4300 and I get to keep my car. Yipee!

Actually I never really liked Green much, but then again I don't like vegetables ether...

(IMG:http://members.rennlist.com/914_collectibles/zMagPA23%20Nature-small.jpg)

Maybe you should just go with that Dark (you know what color) Brown that they put on 911s in the late '70s. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

Of the stock colors, Delphi Green. Followed by Ravenna Green. (Sorry, B--I know how you like that one!)

When I went looking for my teener I knew it absolutely wouldn't be Orange (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Didn't want it... wouldn't have it... now that I got it I love it.
I'd have to say that garish green is ugly. It wasn't the nice dark racing green or the lighter green, it was just (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) you know (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Just a though...why not find a doner body in the colour you want and then you don't have to do a colour change? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Unfortunately they didn't make 914s in Oak Green Metallic. If they had, I'd be looking for one of those.

Delphi green is pretty bad, but brown. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

HEY WHAT'S WRONG WITH RAV GREEN?

It's the only REALLY 70s color you can get!

Gold sucks.

Ravenna green (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)
Brown (on anything other than an early 911) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)
Black - just too damned hard to keep clean and looking nice.
Gold - uhhhh... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif)

Cool colors:
Metallic Blue (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)
Silver
Green (like Charlie Davis's car)
White
Aubergine (eggplant)

Overused colors:
Yellow. That's the "guards red" of 914s. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bootyshake.gif)

-Rusty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif)

I think I'm going to look at a yellow car for the conversion. Or a white one. I hate white the most.

I agree with Bowlsby, I love evry stock color. Brown is pretty bad, like Rusty said, on everything but an early 911. Maybe paint it with the paint that changes colors as you drive by! Stuff is like $700 a gallon
