I'm interesed in buying a flywheel locking tool and a clutch centering/aligning pin for my 2.0L and I'm wondering if I can go to a local VW shop and buy them there.

not that this helps much with your question, but we use a piece of old tranny-shaft we cut off from a 901 to center/align the clutch. works perfect ....

Both work.

the clutch tool is just a plastic rod, should only be a couple bucks.
