Ok so I am upgrading my windshield washer system from air to the 914-6/911 electric motor. I have seen Sir Andy’s thread
http://www.914world.com/specs/tech_el_washer.php However, it looks like he drilled holes in the metal. Is there a stock place to mount it or atleast a place to mount it without drilling holes? Or just drill the holes and mount the sucker. Does anyone have pics of how they did it? Thanks for the help! Regards, James |

So Andy, were the holes threaded (if threaded what size) or did you just use sheet metal screws? I can't tell from the pic? Also, how many screws?
Thanks for the help! Regards, James |

So Andy, were the holes threaded (if threaded what size) or did you just use sheet metal screws? I can't tell from the pic? Also, how many screws? I cheaped out and just drilled holes and used bolts. I did, however, sandwich a layer of rubber inbetween to insulate against some of the noise. I believe the stock /6 uses 3 rubber plugs. Here's a pic from my original /6 project that shows the holes ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Andy Attached image(s) |
