I know it's only a day after WCR 2009, but now that I have a running and driving 914, I'm already getting ready for WCR 2010.
Being that next year is the 40 anniversary of the 914, my suggestion would be to do it up big and in Las Vegas. Plenty of rooms and lots of different options for activities. I know its a long drive for the PNW guys (its long even from Sacramento), but being that its Vegas, I'm thinking it will be worth it. Any other ideas being thrown around? I'd be happy to help plan or help out in any way! |

Okay....chiming in.
"It's a penny for your thoughts and I'm giving my 2 cents worth!" The WCR= West Coast Ralley. I have never attened.....YET. But I think there needs to be a "rotation" of states. In 2008 it was WA. 2009 it was Cali. (That's all the knowledge I know.) I think the rotation should go: WA CA OR REPEAT. There are some great ideas out there and excitement is HIGH right after the event. I think Medford (or Oregon location) is the place for 2010 and the "on-deck" is WA for 2011. The Lake Tahoe is a grand idea from the postings and interest, so I say that is 2012 in Cali and prep work should start and someone elected to start the planning. Also, someone in Seattle should start planning for 2011 and can report of the progress at the 2010 Medford event. IF someone wishes to host it outside of the rotation; it should be presented and added to the rotation at the concensus of the group. I SAY: MEDFORD, OR. Let the group in OR be the host and set up the weekend. There should be some pressure to make this event a bigger and bigger success every year it returns back to your home state! phew...............
