I know it's only a day after WCR 2009, but now that I have a running and driving 914, I'm already getting ready for WCR 2010.
Being that next year is the 40 anniversary of the 914, my suggestion would be to do it up big and in Las Vegas. Plenty of rooms and lots of different options for activities. I know its a long drive for the PNW guys (its long even from Sacramento), but being that its Vegas, I'm thinking it will be worth it. Any other ideas being thrown around? I'd be happy to help plan or help out in any way! |

The West Coast Wramble in 2002 was in Reno. We took a drive around Tahoe, IIRC. Had dinner in (I think) the Peterson auto museum. Very cool. Rich Herzog (ArtechnicA) put it on.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I was there (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)Me too...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I probably wouldn't go as far as as Oregon again. That's a long haul. But Tahoe is definitely going to be more attractive to me and I would think for a lot of folks east... my $.02 As long as I'm here, there is no "rule" that says it has to be on the coast. I think that the point they are making is that it is the West COAST Ramble... I'm not opposed to Tahoe, but they have a valid point. As far as I'm concerned, the best part of the Ramble is the parking lot BS sessions. Who has the nicest parking lot? Ever been to Tahoe? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
