How is your pump mounted?. Here is mine, a Holley. It sounds like a coffee grinder, doesn't have the 3 second shutoff feature of the stock pump, and is louder than the engine itself @ idle.

Howard, I have used Mallory, Carter & Holley pumps depending on the cfm requirements. The quietest I have used are Mallory used with a electronic pump voltage controller that will vary the voltage to the pump. MSD & Aeromotive both make pump controllers. I fabricate brackets with isolator bushings to dampen the pump vibration. Lar.
