My car died at lunch today.
The only thing that happened was the volt meter went to zero when I tried to engage the starter. When I turned the key back the voltmeter would go back to 12V. I didn't hear a click and the starter would not turn over. Has this happened to anyone before? Could it be the starter solenoid? I tried to start it multiple times and I got the same symptom. For the hell of it I disconnected the battery using the quick disconnect knob and reconnected it. The motor started right up. I have a 3.2 in my car with stock dme with no alarm or anything else that would disconnect the starter. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance for your help. Steve |
