how is this supposed to work? i filled up the bottle half way and the pump motor just spins. if i pull off the suction/intake tube and stick it in a glass of water everything works.
it seems like my tank might be missing a tube to pickup water from the bottom of the tank. or is the tank pressurized or what? -steve Attached thumbnail(s) |

internal pickup tube? that sounds like something im missing. any photos of what that looks like?
does the connector on top with the hose connections pop off? if so it would be easy to add a pickup tube, but i tried a little and it was stuck. i really dont want to break the tank. doesnt work the cap off either. right now its just sucking air so it makes sense that it would not work. and yes, this is a repro pump. an original was in the car but rusty and ratty looking. the repro is actually quite different from the original and is far from a perfect copy as advertised. but it looks close. |
