The spedometer works on the '73 914 I am acquiring, but the odometer does not; neither does the trip meter. I assume this means something has broken inside the speedo? Any suggestions as to the best place to send it for repair?

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I figure it's better than starting a new one...
I've just acquired a 1970 914. Same problem as original poster.. speedo works (if you call bouncing around all over the place working!) but odo and trip meter do not.. I'm about to order some parts from Pelican but need to know if I need to buy the plastic odo gear too? If so which one.. there seem to be a few to order... http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/SuperC...E_pg2.htm#item6 |
