The spedometer works on the '73 914 I am acquiring, but the odometer does not; neither does the trip meter. I assume this means something has broken inside the speedo? Any suggestions as to the best place to send it for repair?

also if youre spedo is bouncy that is the cable binding. you can try to lube it from the top or pull the inner cable out and clean off the rust . I think there may be clip and one end that needs to be removed to get it out.
