Looking to replace the current muffler on my 1976 2056cc motor. Would like to use the factory rear valance cutout or possibly make a second cutout on the passenger side to keep a stockish look. Suggestions for a good reasonably priced setup for stock heat exchangers. Would like to keep the sound at a reasonable level.

Agree with the Triad recommendation. A Bursch muffler is less expensive but their life expectancy seems short. I took the collector from a Bursch and welded in a Maganaflow for about $80 - for me an inexpensive solution given I had the Bursch system and collector was in fine shape, only the muffler went.
I'm running a 2056 with dual carbs - to give you an idea with a Magnaflow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aak8QVkMcko |
