I spent the weekend getting my new 914rubber dash top vinyl in. I'm using the early brickmold pattern instead of smooth. i didn't like the previous smooth; it was too shiny.
So vinyl is down and defroster vents are in. Now I'm trying to line up and get the dash on. It clips in the holes but..... where do i access the bottom of the plastic bolts so I can tighten the dash down so there's no gap? It seems it was never "bolted". |

I managed to get to the two on each side of the ashtray. But the two in the back for the "hood" don't look like the picture.
There is very little gap to even get the nut in there much less line it up or turn it. My dash is where the green line is....I can barely even see the bolts. I'll take pics tonight but here is the sample picture with comments. ....also I have an early dash so no left side vent. That bolt is totally hidden. |
