It's actually hinged the right way—just needs a better hinge setup that lifts and swings so the clamshell is 90° or near it.
If I was game to build a tube-frame 914, I'd way rather do something like this than the usual setups. Pretty neat—but it would only make sense to me in fiberglass or carbon fiber. |
