I like the look (and ease of replacement) of the bolted-on GT flare. Does anyone have detailed (up-close) pics of this treatment? What size/number/type of screws or bolts were used.
Please post pics Thanks BH Attached image(s) |

I used high strength adhesive tape and bonded studs and used fender washers on the inside to hide external fasteners.
I spent a week or two modifying and fairing all the edges of the flares. With the bolt on look the seam line where the flare attaches is a big part of the aesthetic. This other photo also shows the winter suspension project. |

High strength adhesive tape to hold the studs to the fenders. I was unaware they made such a product. Would you share the name of this product. |

Below is a link to the version I think I used (3M super strength molding tape). I used a 3M product and there are a couple that use acrylic adhesives and are considered permanent. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b40069527/ Like any adhesive, surface prep is key. There in a primer/activator to be used with this as well. Since install I have roughly 10,000 miles and a few track days on the car. Steve |
