I have an over the phone/internet price of $6K. Going back original black car. Car to be painted inside and out with sealer on the bottom. Everything is ready to go. Completely stripped to shell. Says it will be ready in two weeks. Good price? What is the consensus?

Don't forget to factor in your friends time. I know for sure shops north of me get way more than $20k. WAY more when rust or a twist are added to the mix. Then you switch to time and material. The state will get $1.8k on a $20k bill. Then all of the new disposables and 'while you're in theres'. You'll want to do that 5 lug conversion before paint.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Are you suggesting installing the new suspension before paint? My car is in a roller state very soon ready to be sent to a body shop (when I find it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ). I have the option of delivering it on its old 4 lug setup or on a dolly. No matter what, I have a complete 5 lug fresh suspension to install on it after. Side note: We need to get a group buy from a body shop... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |
