I put chrome '74 bumpers on my '73 car over the weekend, I like the "no bumperette": look, however the bumpers are tweaked right behind the bumperettes and I don't think they can be pounded out and still look decent
upon looking at the bumpers, i think a good comprimise would be smaller bumperettes...maybe something that would be flush with the top rubber pad..... the biggest challange will be to keep the surface of bumperettes looking decent once the material was cut off.....any ideas on how to make the new surface look okay and how to remove the saw marks in the rubber? |

Where were you guys when I asked about backdating my bumpers?
This is good stuff, however, now you are making me want to see bumperette reduction to decide if I should keep my 74 bumpers or go with the bumperetteless early bumpers..... I guess I'll wait and see if someone decides to make reduced bumperettes for the 74 bumpers.... In the mean time, I like the look of the clean bumpers. |
