How similar is the 915 tranny and the tranny that comes on 914s? I don't guess we'd be lucky enough for, say, a PhantomGrip device that fits the 915 to fit the 914 tranny.....? http://www.phantomgrip.com/product_lists.p...hp?make=Porsche

Geeezzz... you guys need to learn your donor cars (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
915 box was on the 911 from 72 through 86 (carrera 3.2) The G50 was introduced in '87 (still on the Carrera 3.2), was also used in the 964 (different version) and the 993 (6 speed) and even today's 996 GT3 Anyway... If I get your question right, you're asking if you can mount a 915 LSD in a 901/914 box From what I picked up from other discussions here on the BBS, the 915 diff comes in 2 types: with a fine spline and a coarse spline. One of those also fits the 901/914 box (can't remember which one) Try a search on LSD |
