Initial thoughts: Have a light (Dunkin, sandwiches, & coffee) breakfast at a central place I have in mind on east side of Morristown, off I-287, at 7:30 then wheels up at 9:14am (thanks Oscar for the idea!) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) for a series of 45-60 min drives through Jockey Hollow and western NJ. Done by 1pm or so. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
Details to follow. Ideas welcome! |

Who belongs to the red car with the pulled rear fenders? Great look? Charlie Hey Charlie There were actually two cars (6s) with pulled rear flares. The yellow car has a 3.4 and has been massaged by Peter. The red one is a convert with a 3.6 ? and a Boxster 6 speed. Both are beautiful. Doug was also there in a newly acquired real 6 ... in the best color of all time... Tangerine or Blutorange. Great to see him. Mrs. Foster arrived in the Irish green car. Daniel Foster at the wheel. |

What do you plan on doing with it? Charlie It's something I knew about for 20-ish years. Just kept after it till he gave in.. #2013, Tangerine Orange. Has a 70' 2.2S motor in it now that leaks a bunch of oil, but managable. It sat for 25 years after it was taken off the road for some rust repairs. It has mounts in it for a saftey devices roll cage, so it has DE history for sure. Was apparently owned by George Hussey sometime in the 90's. 22mm front swaybar, factory rear bar. Bilsteins, stock brakes. Anyways I have 76' European 3.0L motor on the stand right now that will get an EFI conversion done on it, Using PMO throttle bodies. I also have a set of 930 Turbo brakes that could find its way on there too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). We'll see... |

I remember that Fred always liked to use those motors as a basis because you can put in a 66mm crank and 98mm p&c and make a short stroke 2.8. I forget what he used for cylinders as the stud spacing is different than an SC case (I think). I’m finally starting to assemble the -6. Presently sorting out and pulling the wiring harness back in, digging thru boxes finding parts that have been stored for the past 43 years! Charlie |
