I'm in the process of restoring a 1974 914 2.0 from CA - no rust -
that was brought to Nash TN in 2002 & promptly wrecked in the passenger front side - fender & door. I rescued it from the garage where it was parked by the previous owner. It is scheduled to go into the body shop soon. Couple of issues: I need a windshield any suggestions - no local auto glass shops seem to have a source. I can go to AA or through the usual repro glass mail order shops for big $$$. Any suggestions? Electrical problem/issue - 1st all of the fuses have been checked & replaced with new good ones, the fuse block has been cleaned with contact cleaner & they all fit tight. Here's the symptoms the wipers, horn, cig. lighter & heater blower do not function? During the accident the horn pod came off. I fixed the wire and remounted the center button - still will not work . All other electrical is operational. Any suggestions? |
