The '71 has engine turned aluminum sill guards. They extend from under the speaker housings to halfway along the door opening, from the top edge of the sill to the floor, and are held on with slot headed screws.
Anyone know if these were period accessories, or something more recently kluged together? |

Looks aftermarket like Amco or something.
If it is a long lost dealer option, I think it would have matched the fluted door sills. |
