Just thought i would share my first big rust fix. I went to mount my race seat and quickly remembered why I handn't mounted it in the first place. About a fist sized hole where the rear seat mount used to be. So I decided to fix it properly and cut out a larger area, and weld in a good piece of metal (about 1/16th steel we had around). I TIG welded in the piece from the bottom of the car while it was on the lift...this was a pain in the neck, but I don't have a remote control torch yet so I had to use the foot pedal (the new torch will be on order soon).

Anyway, thought I would share...and I forgot to take pics of the shop, but I will do that in the next couple of days and add them to this thread...

pic1: rusty...
