I have spent a whole week now going through many many threads about wheel size etc. I can't find the right answer, so for you that are sick of wheel threads sorry..
I can't find a 17" wheel I like, and I don't like the fuchs even though they may look great. I have found the perfect wheel and its 18", I talked to andyrew and Aaron as well, just need more info... The wheel sizes are 18x8 and 18x10. 225-40-18 for the front and 255-35-18 for the rear. Anyone running this size wheels with GT Flares? 7" & 9"... I would like to use the 10" if possible but could I use 18x8 on all 4 otherwise? and using a 245-40-18 in the rear? Thanks for your time guys! |

got a tape measure and a straight edge??
that rear tire will be between 10" and 10.5" wide when mounted.....the rim itself will be over 10" wide measured face to face....you'll need to measure from the trunk wall to the flare lip...remember that when the suspension moves, the wheel will travel towards the inside trunk wall. I'm pretty sure Joe O'brien is running 255's on 9's on the rear of his car, I'd ask him how much room he has between the trunk and the fender flare...of course each car is different and it depends on the install of your flares. |
