So I was splitting the case on my 2.0 core motor last night...
I was using two soft hammers to bang on two flanges of the case on the fan end and it was starting to work. I was slowly getting a bigger gap so I started to pound a little harder... Then thwack, I broke off one of the flanges I was banging on!!! The part I broke is the rectangular tab with a hole in it that sticks off the oil filler housing part of the case, in the very front. Dangit!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) I guess it can be welded like any other part of the case, but what a PITA. So maybe that is not a good place to bang on. |
