OK, my car is leaving thick black oil on the garage floor. It isn't from the tranny because thats new clean gear lube. I have some minor oil drips coming off the engine, but again that's also clean, not at all like the black goo on the floor. Oil cooler leaking maybe? If so how do I get to it to check and tighten mounting screws or whatever? Thanks.

oil collects dirt by nature. Heck that's what it is designed to do.
Might have to crawl up under there and see where it's coming from. Yes Oil cooler is accessable but not easily. 10mm open end wrench and a good feel. You can't see the nut at the same time you are tightening it. |
