Hey guys,
So, finally signed up for my first big track DE with the PCA out at Texas World Speedway this weekend - anyone from here going to be there? Finally got my car corner balanced after getting all of the rubber out of the suspension (elephant poly bronze up front, mueller bearings in the rear, koni sports all around, 21mm welt up front, five lug conversion with M calipers, and re-drilled hubs in the rear, running 15x6 cookies and falken azenis) The car came out at 2154 lbs with a little over a half tank of gas and a 170lb driver. Not bad for an all steel '74 body that still has the crash bars in the doors. And we got her to balance at 50.2% - Thought you guys would be interested in those numbers. I am pretty excited about this event, and curious to see how I match up with these newer porsches. I think my car is a good 10 yrs older than the oldest car out there, but I do have some Mr. Raby magic to help level the field (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Anyway, I will post the results after I get back...and any comments, suggestions are welcome. running 175lbs in the rear with the adj collar kit.
running stock 911 torsions up front, so they are 19mm I think. The front bar is set about half stiff, and no rear bar. The car really feels great with this setup, we will see when I get some real rubber on the car. |
