Have 320 set-up on front, PMB stock rebuilds on rear. Everything was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago, driven about twice a week, pads and rotors in great condition.
Fronts started squealing so I pulled the pads out and put a little grease on the back. Immediately noticed loss of braking force. Pulled the wheels a few days later and noticed that rotors had rust lines alternating with normal shiny areas, indicating that only about third of the pad was making contact. Changed pads, no more rust streaks but still significantly less braking (i.e. - brakes will not lock up). Bled brakes, no indication of air in lines. It seems like the pass are not biting. Any thoughts? |
