attended San Diego State as a journalism major while working at a small publishing house (weekly newspapers and such). got involved in computer typesetting, became a paid professional programmer at the dawn of microprocessors, decided school was interfering with my education and bailed after 2 years. fast-forward 10 years in the computer engineering trenches (with a bit of time off to pursue graphic design and commercial photography) i went back and completed a BS in Computer Science. designed a bunch of simulation software (aircraft, oil rigs...) then went off to Lost Angeles to design avionics for McDougal-Dongless, followed by 5 years of software design consulting (including some cool automated test equipment for Litton Aeronautic). moved to the Sierra to do software design after the LA economy crashed, along with my house, in the Northridge earthquake. did that for a while, tired of working for idiots, set out to do airbrush car art, graphic design, and commercial photography. eventually found my way East where my day job is once again software design (vehicle diagnostic systems for European cars) and i try to pursue graphic art on a time-available basis. i edit my PCA Region's newsletter and try to make my 911 better while i work out just what to do with the 914.6 and 356.

BA in Marketing, 5 years now at my first job out of school. I am a glorified office controller. I work for a author. Mostly Fund mangment and bookeeping.
Also, I grew up in the car business, so I do a lot of buying and selling of automobiles on the side, as well as help advise non car people with negotiation and purchase.

Spent the past 30 years in manufacturing, employed as either an Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Tool Designer.

During this time, I also did Contract Engineering/Consulting for companies such as Boeing, Tyco, Hamilton-Sundstrand, Lear and Emerson Electric. Really liked the contracting jobs; was able to travel and work in Boston, MA area, Hartford, CT area and Pureto Rico.

I also have roughly twelve years of service in the Wisconsin National Guard. Last duty assignment was as an AeroScout
in an Attack Helicopter Battalion. Learned to repair and fly the OH-58 Kiowa. Nothing beats flying at 90 kph at tree top level with the doors off.

MY hat is off to Rusty. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif)

By day I am an electrical engineer at an aerospace company, which is at this point very boring. I've been here for a year and a half now since finishing my masters in EE. So far this place hasn't engaged my brain, so I'm really looking for something new. In grad school I was working on RF power amplifiers, very similar to what Jkeyzer was doing. We got our BS's together at UC San Diego.

By night I am a 914 restorer and I work on microwave and millimeterwave electronics in my home lab. I think my neighbors believe I'm some kind of mad scientist. My wife does (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

After setting a new world record for the number of years to complete my BSEE, I work at being bored at the same aerospace company as TonyAKAVW, who is responsible for getting me hooked on 914's, even though I don't have one yet.

By the way, TonyAKAVW is a mad scientist. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Had an 03 for a year and just got the 04. I love it and it does not even compare to a Kawi. I rode the Kawi for like three years and loved it only because I got to ride. The Harley is a great cruising police bike, but you cant do near what you can with a Bimmer. The Bimmer is just a great all around bike.

Slid into computer programming after a bad time at school. 20 years later, I'm now looking for some way to make money in an auto-related job rather than just spend it.

Seems to be a bunch of engineers and technical people in here. It took reading to page 5 before I saw anything close to me. I got a bachelors in accounting and work as a financialy analyst for Corporate America. I'm about tired of all the political BS and am looking to get out.

Was a ski instructor, autopsy assistant, and pathology lab tech while in school. Afterwards, I couldn't find an honest job, so became a lawyer. specializing in international business. Teach part-time at Cooley Law School in Lansing, MI. Ex-racer (Triumphs, a Lotus [when important parts didn't fall off], Formula Ford and Formula Continental) and would-be racer, if I can find a 14er that really runs. Currently trying to figure out how I can afford one of Jake's motors.
