Just accepted an offer as a Project coordinator for the new DD(X) ship the the Navy is building here in rednecksville. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) I'm really excited as this should lead to other opportunities to excel. Being an Engineer is HIGHLY over rated and somewhat mind numbing.

Look up stoked in the dictionary and my ugly mug will now appear. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif)

Worked in the semiconductor business for 33 years. Coincidentally did vol firefighting for 18 years. Now, in addition to my 914, I bought my own fire truck. You thought the teener was expensive to maintain? Been tryin' to retire for the last few years but the cost of health insurance and Osama's impact to the stock market keep me in the clean room pushing silicon.

Started life as a Michigan dairy farmer, went to school to many years (no degrees)couldn`t decide what I wanted to be.Tried teaching, only lasted a year(those baby girls where WAY to tempting;didn`t see jail as a fun thing to do).Moved to south Florida to help mom. Started a screen business (designing & building pool and patio screen rooms). After 25 years sold out and moved to north Florida.I now sell outboard motor parts at a large marina. Bought my first 914 in `76 (it was a `71 6) loved them every since. Sure glad this wife doesn`t mind the misstress(Lil Red 914).

Did my commercial multi -ifr pilots licence. Had a small manufacturing company that my partners
succeeded in driving into the ground. Worked for a bank for 4 years. Worked for an aircraft component
shop for 5. Now I work as an AME (aircraft maintaince engineer). I like the shop I work at as it is small
but caters to high end piston and light turbine aircraft. One of our customers has 4 aircraft. Biggest is a
citation smallest is the one we just finished a 1947 pa-12. It is beautiful. I convinced the powers that be to
paint it the same colour as my car. When the car is done I am going to get a pic of them together.

I've been in the restaurant bidness ever since college, took a few years off to run my own house painting company, but then, just when you think you're out, they pull you back in. Went back to culinary school, ended up in the bakery business. I am currently the operations manager for a central bake house for a company called The Corner Bakery, here in Chicago. I have seen it grow from a small Mom & Pop type operation, mixing 20#'s of dough at a time, to a plant that pumps out 55,000#'s a day, using a high tech Rheon stress free divider. Lots of chnges, but corporate America sure does wear you down after 7+ years.

humm let me see....

Started working at 13 in my father's construction business, quit that crap at 25. Went into the Marines for four years and they taught me how to sit behind the reticle of a scope and drop a walking target a 1000 meters or so away, didn't care for that job (no future and a very short life expectancy for me). Started the computer thang before and after the stint in the service and I'm still at it after 20 years ( pays the bills). I'm currently the Sr. Domino Admin for a furniture company here in the mid-west. I maintain 100 database and email systems scattered east of the Missisippi (sic) OK.. "big flipping river" and China. The stress is ungodly, but somebody has to do it...I have my MCNE and CLP. I think I'll ride this out until they put me out to pasture or I die from a stroke. Whichever comes first......

The angle of the rear wheel in that picture really concerns me - have you checked the suspension console for rust?

Either brain scientist or rocket surgeon, I can't remember (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I just started my new carrer last Monday. After 23 years in oil refining I took a job as Superintendant of a service center (repair shop) for a major pump manufacturer.
The shop is almost 60,000 sq. ft. filled with all kinds of cool machines and stuff (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The place is waaaay too busy. We're doing a half million a month in repairs.
