Apparently, using the 4 cylinder tach in in your DME 3.2 conversion is death to the ECU eventually. Thanks to, I believe Mepstein for researching this and reporting on his chat with Steve Wong on the subject. After reading that a month or so back, I've been afraid to drive the car for fear of taking out the ECU! Who would of thought it wasn't as simple as dividing by 3 and multiplying times 2? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif)
I've had the Carrera tach in a box having had it refurbished by North Hollywood Speedometer. I did a search and found the proper PIN numbers posted by Joe O'Brien a few years back. I confirmed the info was correct with McMark and Mark added the wire colors to the PIN number connections. So now, I have a properly functioning 6 cylinder tach! Tach signal / black/purple / pin 2 12 volt power / red/white / pin 5 Ground / brown / pin 6 Here she is! Yes, I know. No silver button on the speedometer. The Carrera speedometer is also in a box. It needs that shiny 915 transmission to work so, it's coming soon! Attached image(s) |

Now if I could just get Whitesell to make those targa bar pads. Maybe I should start a thread and have everyone bomb his email inbox... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

I think Mark has heard the message. Step away from the pom poms. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Of course I haven't heard a timeline? ;p Ok, pick 'em back up. |

I got an offer I couldn't refuse as they say. 914Rubber is running an excellent group buy on the reproduction dashboard they developed. I've seen one. They're excellent!
My dashboard is a leather covered "916" dash. I've decided I want to go more original. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Can't wait! |

Wait... GB on a dash pad? How'd I miss that? Where's the thread? I'm going to need one before long. It was before you joined. I had an NOS pad still in the box. I shipped it out to Mark, and he cut a mold. The original dash was destroyed in the process, but when I got the new one, I literally can't tell the difference. It is that good. Actually, I think that it might be better as the construction technique will lend itself to less cracking than the original. |

I went back and looked at all the pics I just posted for the vulture and then realized you're the vulture! If you're serious, PM me. I'll get you some pictures and figure out a price. It's kind of inappropriate to be selling it here in this forum and that wasn't my intention. |
