Ahh damn it Mark! Now you've got me thinking... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)
3.5 liter turbo nickies and pistons Headwork and cams Fancy exhaust and turbos. BOV, some kind of EMS and sensors. Huh, we're over $10K before we get to bending up a turbo exhaust system or your labor! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |

Rob,
Are the wheels called a RSR finish? Your car is stunning. Thanks, Bob B |

Rob, Are the wheels called a RSR finish? Your car is stunning. Thanks, Bob B Thank you Bob, but the wheels were the product of Harvey Weidman, the guy who posted just above. They are indeed RSR finish. Harvey took 2 16X6 Fuchs to make each of the 16X8.5 rears. The fronts are 16X7. I'm amazed actually at how durable the finish is. They just stay looking great. Another testament to Harvey's knowledge of these cars, look how these rears fit. With the original factory flares they would have been like gloves, with the reproduction flares, a little trim on the flange was necessary. They are so well fit and I didn't realize just how well until after. Harvey's working on a second set of polished wheels for the car too. Just for fancy occasions! How about 914-6 4.0? That seems to be the latest thing and is probably the max for the case.
Amazing car and beautiful rims. The RSR finish is perfect for a silver car! |

Just want to thank everyone who voted for my car for Best Flared 914. (I voted for Elvira) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif)
Thanks to Jamie Rust for making this award. There was a snafu and even though Jamie paid extra to have this and the Best non-914 award delivered by 3pm Saturday during the event, the didn't arrive at the hotel until Wednesday after the event! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) apparently, Mammoth Mountain Inn uses a 'distribution center' and even though it did arrive apparently on time, the distribution center wandered on up to the actual hotel with it on Wednesday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Anyway, thanks! Attached image(s) |

My favorite among the pictures taken of my car at WCR 17. I think by Matt Whitesell or one of the Whitesell's. Nice composition.

Kind of a solution to a problem I don't have though Chappy. I'm pretty happy with the stockish 3.2. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif)
McMark absolutely nailed what I want out of this car. Satisfying without being hard to live with. |

Got something done today. Knuckles are skinned up anyway... Pulled my leather covered dash which I was never happy with, and installed a new 914Rubber reproduction. Here are some teaser shots I got before it got too dark for photos... It's beautiful! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Attached thumbnail(s) |
