Streets of Willow (WSIR small track) this Saturday 6/27. Not sure what's next but probably Fontana (ACS) 9/12-13 and Chuckwalla 10/3-4. Be sure and come over and say Hi if you ever see me out there. Tow rig is black F150 Supercrew and grey open dually trailer.

Fun day at the track yesterday! Yep Marty it was "only" 97 as there were overcast skies, but that means the humidity was up a bit too. Wow, I drank at least 5L of fluids.

A couple of fresh shots:

Do you have any pics of the dzus brackets under your bumper? I was looking to do the same exact mounting stet up with some fiber glass bumpers I have as well.

Maybe I can steal some ideas and save some time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Great looking car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/first.gif)

I am looking for some 17" Fuchs style wheels. Any thoughts on anyone in S.Cal with some? Looks like you have a set for street and a set for the track.

Thank you! My wheels are actually 15's but the 17's have gotten very popular. I don't have any particular leads though. Be sure to figure out your tires and fender clearance before pulling trigger on wheels. Would be a shame to get a $$$$ set that didn't fit. BTDT unfortunately. For a while there my wife thought I was becoming a wheel collector.

Over the years, I've seen a lot of " track 914s. This is one of the top three that's out there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

This car is ridiculously awesome. Amazing.

I am trying to figure out wheels for my 914-v8 conversion. Currently have 15x6 Fuchs on back with 225/50/15 with no issues. Going for some 15x7 Cookies all around, fenders have been pulled in rear, I guess I'll find out if they fit!

Why this car hasn't won car of the month already is beyond me. Very nice build, Chris.

Your track wheels look to be Braids? The street wheels look authentic Fuchs? - never mind

(I went back and read the whole thread…….duh)

...because its a "race car"! Have you ever seen the lack of traffic in the "Paddock" forum? I believe ONLY one "race car" has ever on COTM as I recall the stats. Rough place for racin folks...it is absolutely one of the best cars I've EVER seen on this site!

PS: You think Chris has it bad...I've got a "race car" + a v8! True kiss of death! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

That is part of the reason I keep nominating Chris car. It is one of the best on here. The one winner was Brant's race car, which is also a great build and phenomenal car!!!

I have no problem admitting I've "voted" for this car EVERY time it comes up...we'll keep trying! We just need more members who value true performance AS WELL AS "wax on - wax off". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
