Milled a hole in the top chrome targa-strip for my 36 LED 3rd brakelight and installed it on the 914, I think it worked out pretty well.
At least it makes it more visable now.

Removed back pad to send to get recovered.

Installed brand new driver's seat belt that my daughter and son-in-law gave me for Christmas. It is awesome. And it catches when you jerk on it. My old one would not and probably would not catch in accident which is not good!

I also purchased today FI fuel lines for my fuel pump replacement project next week. I have done it before when I could use a lift but I ain't climbing under a car with gas leaking in my eyes. Too old! Been there, done that! I will let my mechanic do it for me.

Took the top off and went on a ~50 mile drive with my granddaughter with a stop at McD's for lunch. She laughed as we drove the twisty, hilly roads and called it a "roller coaster".

More like what I hope to do today; some new super white LED's for the instrument panel came yesterday maybe I'll get a chance this weekend...last week I installed a Sparco steering wheel that gives a ton of legroom..even if Andy thinks its ugly...

Started refurbing the tail light socket of a donor fender so that I can cut out a good whole section and graft into my driver's fender. Check out the gnarly braze patch and the ball peen hammer blows I found under loads of filler.

What gauge metal are you using for that work? I've got some sail panel area work and some rubber seal tracts to do some repairs on.

That's 18g steel which is pretty close to what I'm measuring as the stock thickness--maybe just a hair thicker. I think stock measures between 18-20g (19?).

That's just beautiful. The LED's will blend in nicely until you hit that pedal. I'm thinking about doing the same thing.

I received my new Koni sport although they probably will not get installed today. Should I have my struts repowdercoated to match my Konis?

Drove it!!

On twisty roads!!

With the roof stowed!!

In 65 degree temps!!

In early January!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Just got her back from getting new wheel bearings, replacing inner & outer driver's door handles, and radio wiring de-fuched-up so it works again. Driving great and now has the addition of Mikey914's wheel center caps on my Mahles...

I should get to drive it a few more times this week. Might try to clean it up a bit.

Mounted a new firewall shift linkage bushing. Laying out an aluminum dash to replace the vinyl dash face. Covering the radio hole to run a Secret Audio system in the car.
