Celebrated 49 years of ownership with a doggie dawn patrol (he's really happier than he looks): Drove about 70 miles on the local back roads before it got too hot. While we were out, the car rolled over 243,000 miles (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Never thought it would last this long or go this far! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |

Parts have started arriving for building the engine in my red car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif) Took them over and put them on my rack at Middle Motors. 2270cc build to commence shortly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif) Who’s Delphi car on the hoist? Not sure who's car that is. Cary and Ben are very busy of late. Seems like there is always a different car on the lift when I stop by. Going to try and start putting the motor together next week. Parts Porn to follow. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) |

After 10 years (at least), 4 of them with me, we put the engine and transmission back in the car.
There's a few things that need to be done still but, we're that much closer! Huge Milestone!!!! Thanks to everyone who's helped out over the past few years. Attached thumbnail(s) |

with motor being down, i turned my energy to something else, the rear wheel wells were not stripped properly back 3 years ago , since it was peeling, cracking anyway- btw you can’t put other stuff over 40 year old dealer Duracoat, Pro-tip, it won’t work - so all that had to come out.
stripped properly and prepped for new coat of Wurth Stone Guard. i like the results. next weekend the motor comes out - ugh i can’t believe just a day after Werks Reuning show i am pulling the motor for a dead cylinder! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Attached thumbnail(s) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Our 1974 and 1975 914's have the same stuff. I have been removing the asphalt based stuff and am considering repainting the inner fender wells with the paint color. Ours will probably never be driven in the rain, and NEVER during the winter months |

Very cool, will it be shoe horned into a 914? Of course!! I can help with the wiring if you want, as I have been there, done that. Clay Thanks Clay!! I’m not worried about the engine compartment side, but the DME side will take some work compared to my 3.2 DME wiring. I just noticed there is no DME relay and I’m missing the ignition control unit. Fun fun fun |

Fun fun fun The DME relay on a 964/993 is part of the chassis wiring harness, as is the diagnostic plug. Do you still have your /4 relay board? If so, you can use the D-Jet relays in place of the DME relay. Clay |

I can figure it out. It’s just time. |

Yes i used the spray product. i sided it foe the rear valance too. i prepped it after getting all the undercoat off , i used the pre-paint de-greaser and sanded it with a 400 grit paper, cleaned it etc, it should adhere well. i am going to do the other side rear next weekend. |
