Celebrating the car's 54th birthday this month (9/70) with a trip to Stalltek Restorations in eastern Iowa this weekend. Loading it up in the new aerovault trailer compliments of the one and only Peter Brock!! Don't think the wife is looking forward to a 2 day road trip in the F150... Mix in a special fun thing for her, she probably won't forget it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |

Finished rerouting coolant lines, redesigned the front spoiler and air intake, bled the coolant system, changed a light bulb, and drove it like I stole it....

Neither heater/fan blower worked. Was able to remove the ashtray and access the filthy, corroded fan contacts. Cleaned the contacts with 320 paper on the end of long needle nose pliers. Success!
Rear fan is controlled by a relay which tested good, traced the problem to disconnected spade connector on the lower side of the heater control lever. Both fans now operate like new! Ready for winter! |

@Eric_Shea
I was hoping for the best. In the picture the engine mount on the left, I modified so I could run an oil line out of the side of the oil pump cover. I added a gusset on the bottom and was a bit concerned about the nylon part fitting the base of the steel engine mount. It was smaller than the stock ones which made it perfect. Not sure who made these, but PMB had a good price and they are here. Thank you Eric and the fore sightedness of the manufacture. |

The other day I went to drive my car and when I turned on the headlights the passenger side headlight was waving to everyone, up, down, up, down... then it stayed up and all was good for the drive.
Yesterday I checked out the problem and the first thing I did was pull the relay and clean the contacts on the relay and the socket. Plugged it back in and the problem was better, but still the headlight went up and down a couple times. I adjusted the headlight stop about 1/8 of a turn out and checked the headlight operation- problem solved. I turned them on and off several times and the headlight mechanism functions as intended. In thinking about it, I had not used the headlights since before we embarked on the 3.6 swap which included the significant oil cooler upgrade. We did a bit of work in the front trunk and I believe it is possible from leaning on the nose, (we had no bumper installed at the time) as we were doing oil lines, etc., we may have slightly changed the adjustment of the headlight. Anyway, all is good now. My brother was cracking up when the headlight was just cycling up and down. Me, not so much - but it did look cool to see the car waving. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) OH, my car has been sitting for a couple of weeks now, (been stupid busy) and I was so totally happy to look under it yesterday and she is dry as can be; no leaks at all. Before the swap, I would get 1 drop of oil and 2 drips of transaxle lube on the ground. The 3.6 solved the engine drip and we addressed both of the transaxle issues while doing the swap. The Speed Sleeve solved the stub axle leak, (we replaced the seal 3 times with no success) and a new aluminum washer solved the detent nut leak on the transaxle.
