Amazing work as always. You're a true inspiration.
One question: Do they have sealed batteries in Germany? Optima, Orbital, etc? What you've got in there now looks like a standard leaky, hell-hole causing battery. |

Yes the optima batterys are availlable in germany. This one is an cheap one to get the car moved and test al the tings i repaired and modified. Later i wil buy an optima or so for regulare service. The fresh repaired hell hole should stay fine the next 100 years, hope so (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_flagge6.gif) |

outside
i found the source for that strange sound on the engine. Weeks ago i changed the valve adjusters and mounted lash caps. The caps seeem to be hardend , the srews not (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) they lost about 0,3mm in roud about 2 hours running. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) should buy new ones, maybe original parts from VW are the better choice.
