Hello, I am selling my 1972 914 1.7 and I need an idea of where you think I should start pricing it. Maybe somebody may be interested online, as I have posted in the multiple forums, and locally. It has no issues of which I am aware. it has absolutely no dings, scratches, or dents. No hell hole issues, and no rust. It had a re-spray in its original color early this year. Seats and carpeting are excellent and original. It starts up immediately and runs great and stops great. 61,000 miles with some documentation. Pretty much all original and shows beautifully. Many pictures upon request. Here are a few pictures. What do you think?
Thanks, Steven Attached image(s) |

If you review eBay listings current market prices can be obtained. I would estimate that a serious buyer that has been looking for the right car would consider paying between $15K and $20K; if, the buyer won't have to do any work on the car to make it just right. Recently, I did a PPI or a member where the car was advertised as perfect and the seller wanted top dollar. The pictures looked fine. When I got up close it became obvious a repaint would be needed.

And when you say pics, you mean PICS! Nice car. Closeups of the hell hole would help also for a prospective buyer. I am always wary of a recent repaint, I worry about future rust, like something might have been covered up. Not an accusation, just my paranoia. Good luck with your sale. You should come up with a price less than 20K and a very detailed description. Paul |

If nothing else these pictures need to be classic stored. I can use these to measure perfect door gap, trunk alignment, chrome trim placement, and original dash radio knobs! Great photography. Hope you sell big. P.s. Clean off the overspray on the Karman badge. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
