As you all know I was supposed to get a Boxster axle to play with BUT that did not happen. Instead, I got a 2002 911 5 speed axle. It was not worth the cost to return it and hassle with seller. So, it was time to tear it apart. Fits into the Boxster hub and will set down with a gap at the bottom. The hub is really the CV joint. Boot cover is real easy to tear up and a chisel will damage the ring. Not going to be able to use it for much of anything. Inner CV is 110mm and maybe could be used on early 911 axles with pin modification. I slid the end on one of the axles I had. Oddly enough it also has the same spline count as the 911 stub axle.
Anybody have a Boxster axle that need to be torn apart? Attached image(s) |
