Picked up this POS 72 on Friday. The ONLY reason I got it was for the rims and that it was 15 miles from my home. Someone had dreams of making a V8 car out of this. After all these years I am still amazed what people do to these cars when "repairing" them. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif)

I love the custom headlights, plexiglass rear trunk repair & hole in firewall cover. They move the engine lid pull cable to the rear trunk where you have to open the rear trunk, pull the knob which then causes the engine lid to hit the rear trunk lid since it is open. The gas shock to open the engine lid is a nice touch (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif) Best of all is all the angle iron used to "repair" the longs and floor then tin, fiberglass, spray in expanding foam to make the "NEW" floor. The guy actually had plans to drive this as a V8 car when "finished" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Also trying to understand why the hack the side of the SSI heat exchangers off? I tested one and it doesn't have any cracks, but is useless now for heat. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Needless to say useable parts will be saved and the rest hauled off to the scrap yard this week. So here it is 4722917121 I will update the VIN database tomorrow.

I bet you can sell those mirrors to Larmo for big bucks. They would look super-sweet on his ride.

How much do you want for the driving light grills? I need at least the passenger's side. Maybe a driver's side.

I bought the rims and the car came with it. $100 It actually has some nice parts. Front bumper is nice, excellent condition Blaupunkt blue dot radio, perfect factory owners manual and a bunch of small items.

I don't know. I almost like the rectangular headlights better. I wonder how they went about holding them in place, or if they made them adjustable, or what car they would have originated from?

Excellent deal at $100. Scrap value is worth more than that....especially with all that added iron!

The car looks like its saying kill me in the picture with the front trunk open. The way the headlights are angled in looks in extreme anguish and agony. Only one way to solve that... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)

If you are parting, Im interested in the front bumper pad, if its not going with the bumper, and if its rotten in the center. Maybe some interior items, again if you are selling. Those seats look like they're in darn close to perfect shape.

I'll see your expanding foam and raise ya. . .

What follows came into my shop a couple years back. All I could do is laugh. Apparently, the heating system had some leaks. . . Not after this guy was done I was told it works great now. . . (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) Never under-estimate the ingenuity of idiots!!

Garold;
Before you junk it, if you are going to part it out or would let me rummage around on it, I'm about an hour away. Would like to see if I can salvage some small pieces for my '70.

I'm interested in the seats and backpad if you end up selling them. LMK
