"I wonder if he realizes you don't need goggles on in a car with the top on and the windows up?" It was for fun, Bruce. I am shocked Larmo . You always seem so serious (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) |

What? All these pictures and none of my Volvo shirt(s)?!
So when is the next WCR so I can make sure my 914 is up and running by then? |

Larmo is a mad man (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/914world.com-4-11722-1430788391.3.jpeg) I wonder if he realizes you don't need goggles on in a car with the top on and the windows up? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) He's an ex-Luftwaffe pilot and doesn't realize he's not in a plane. |

Thanks everyone for a great time, and kudos to the event organizers -- they really raised the bar for future WCRs! I was lucky enough to win a $100 gift certificate from The Sierra Madre Collection, and just ordered a set of 911R reproduction tail lights and a couple of other widgets.
Yeah, I know I really should have ordered stuff that would actually get my 914 on the road, but I would not have spent the $175 on these without the generosity of Sierra Madre and the other incredibly generous vendors that contributed. Again, thanks and I REALLY hope I can have my 914 at the next one! Geoff |

Hey Andrew, Any chance you could repost those pix of the 914's driving through the hills WITHOUT the "creative edit" filter? THANX! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) See post 382, unless you mean another photo. 382 was edited for the most natural clarity and natural colors, effectively its "as good as it gets". I am more than happy to send you the raw file if you want just pm me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Actually Andrew, i was curious about posts 378-380. If those are color-optimized then no worries but if there's a more saturated version I'd like them too! Bob (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) |

I can put more saturation in them sure, but those had to have some clarity and color correction as the windshield had a bit of glare. I can send you the raws if you want or if you want any specific edit on them im more than happy to do that. Just send me a pm. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I've already got a good core group of people volunteering to help. Still debating on where it will be. I loved the Medford event with the AutoX day. While I think a damn near carbon copy of the 2010 event would be great. I'm looking at some coast options & closer to Portland too. Still be a few months before we announce anything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Medford was a terrific location, we all had a great time. It would be nice going to a different location; Oregon has so many interesting places. And, closer to Portland would be nice too

Already have my route planned! One of my favorite bike rides is through the Blue Mountains and John Day so with the 914 it should be perfect... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
