had a seepage around my filter console, so decided to fix it today - pre-ordered the Pelican "fits all" o-ring 999-701-100-50-M17 so the job would be "quick" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

but the o-ring is nothing like my oem stepped double lipped gasket (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

- see pics showing thin pelican ring vs oem gskt, and console groove

the pelican ring is 3.8mm , the oem old hard squished gasket is 4mm (its been in there 40 yrs)

- and it seems to me that squeezing that "fits all" o-ring into that large gap would not result in any sealing cuz it would just squish sideways

anybody know where to find this oem gasket/ring ??????

anybody done this fix?

I have a DWD tank and console it's suppose to be like the OEM as far as fitment goes. it takes the original or DWD console.
It looks like just an o'ring to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I'd try the Bird O'ring, if it works who cares if it's not original.

In selling 6 conversion parts over the last 18 years, and probably having my hands on some 30-40 filter consoles, I've never seen a stock O ring like that.

I've replaced a few console o-rings in the past and none looked like that.
Just replace it with the one that you got from Pelican and off you go.
Make sure you install the console correctly.
