Point taken...we don't have them here...:-) I wish we didn't have them here, but that's a political statement that doesn't belong in this thread. Shit, my shop is dangerous enough already. I have two dogs that come to work with me every day and I'm pretty sure they are both lucky to be alive. Move along, nothing to see here..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Sent a pm, Joe. Either color works for me, but black might be better? ...the darkside might be darker than blue or red ya know? I like grey shirts...

I had video on board.
Here is a single frame from the moment the drogue charge went off at apogee. This was right at 5000' (1.53KM for our friends in Europe): Attached image(s) |

That's better. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif)
I don't remember the camera. A very small rectangular arrangement that stuck out a square hole just enough to have the lens look down along the fuselage. Not a GoPro. It's smaller and lower resolution. I only fly solid motors. I just do it for fun. Solid motors are easy. Flyers have to have a license for anything above a "G" motor. There are three levels: Level 1 is H and I motors, Level 2 is J, K and L and Level 3 is M and up. I have an L2 license and don't know if I'm going to get the L3. Every L3 launch costs a minimum of $600 and takes a bunch of planning and time. We fly at a sod farm out in the boonies that has a standing NOTAM from the surface to 10K' on the second Saturday of the month. That's today, so we are headed out. |

We watched an N shot today. It was a rocket that was about 17' tall and a hundred pounds. 15,000' and above Mach 1. It was cool.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
