It appears that my pointing out that the windshield VIN is clearly a forgery, they changed the VIN on the front page of the ad, took down the windshield VIN picture, and located the front fender VIN to include a picture.

This is one of the many reasons I really enjoy the "garage".

Every time a car is scrutinized by the Group it becomes a learning experience for me.

Besides knowing what to look for in other cars, I continually learn about what my cars need to look like to pass Muster.

Every time someone notifies the World about the newest piece of meat on the block, I pay close attention as the critics begin the process of identifying the flaws.

Cant wait until the next one gets put in the Hot seat!

ABOUT VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT

The more you know about the history of a vehicle, the better. It’s more than just about the money you could lose from a bad deal. Your safety as well as the safety of your family is at stake. VinInspect™ understands this, which is why we gather up information not just from auto auctions, but from the largest and most reliable source of vehicle data in the United States, the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS). The NMVTIS database allows us to assess the most up-to-date information available for used cars, such as title data, total loss history, salvage history, brand history, and much, much more. Lastly, unlike our competitors, we offer this service for single digit prices. Go to Carfax®, and you could be looking at nearly $50 for a similar service. For this amount of information at these prices, it’s no wonder people choose VinInspect™ when they need a vehicle history check, a VIN decode, or insurance data from across the country.

Interesting find Garland! So who cares enough about this to pony up $8.99 for the full vehicle history report? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

They obviously scraped that coating gunk off in response to your inquiry to show the fender VIN pic. The shot of the entire front trunk you can clearly see that it isn't scraped off there. BTW, what the hell is that stuff? It looks like asphalt!
