I will expect to see it there shortly. I cannot imagine anything is left having any value on this pile.

Oh and this looks like it could be a VIN swap to cover a crime...

It doesn't seem very 914ish. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

It's a 911 or 912, but the ad shows a 914-6 VIN number.

So are we to believe that all piles of rust are 914's? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

Yep, 356 engine lid. With Leitz luggage rack.
The car is long hood 911 with carbs and sunroof >'71
914 VIN ?
Probably from a multi Porsche house or a repair shop.
The insurance adjuster is gonna be busy with this one for a while.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/WTF.gif) Damn they'll just try to sell anything. Wonder what happened to the 914 's vin they are claiming. Wonder if it's the same vin as the 914-6 with the rear half of a 914-4 thst was in the PA area last year.

They have the same pictures related to a 1963 Porsche as well.

No, that was actually a 356. The first link I posted was a 911. Maybe they just need to get the neptune society involved and sprinkle the ashes somewhere. I hope they inspect the front trunks to look for any evidence of misdeeds first.

They probably entered the VIN incorrectly and changed frrom a 1970 911 to a 1970 914/6.

9110432375 -->> 9140432375

If you have ever dealt with Coparts personnel, you know they don't really care.
Values are provided by the insurance company trying to sell the piece of scrap.

So who is going to tell Hawk his car has been stolen, modified to look like a long hood to cover the thieves tracks and then toasted / dropped a steel beam on its roof ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hide.gif)
