For those that use a Tablet in the car, what apps do you like?
So far I have Google Maps, but it doesn't do multiple stops or route changes. GasBuddy for finding stations en route. I like DashCommand for OBD2 at work, but making custom gauges is involved. The ELM327 works great. So far I'm so so on Waze and Torque. Roadtrippers has been a pita to get it to route off highway, requiring me to add stops that complicate the mileages between gas stops. Still looking for a dash cam app that's simple. A track specific app would be nice too. |

I use Waze ...
I am "Waze roylaty" (use it a lot) I like that fact you can add a 2nd stop. Very accurate in calculating times . I do my part and add info and have even done some map issue fixes. Waze and a radar detector are very useful ... Biggest thing I had issue with was actually believing it knew better than me when routing around a issue ... It does. Track Attack is my Track Day / Autocross video recorder . It works really well. records the run or session and overlays track activity (brake / gas / top speed & Laptime. I can link to some videos if you want. Semi related the "Soundmeter" is good as I run Suppertrap on a 2nd muffler on the Cayman track car. It is fairly accurate. Again semi related .. I use "Around Me" when traveling . works ... OK |

Waze for traffic and daily driving
Torque for error codes and smog readiness, not to mention watching certain parameters (OBD2) DashCommand for a nicer display than Torque, also for some performance figures. They are essentially the same though. TrackAddict for G forces and data figures wile autocrossing. I prefer a dedicated dash cam for that duty. |

Another vote for Torque.
Waze is the only other driving type app I have besides Torque and standard Google maps |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Torque and Waze are both badass (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Realtime OBD2 data and truly realtime traffic data? As an analyst by trade, this is all that I need!

I'll have to research Torque sounds great.
Just to be sure, when I go to the APP store and search "Torque" It comes up with OBD Fusion is that the correct one? & it needs an adapter . It says wi-Fi ELM327 & many mor options . .... Any help with the scan tool adapter that is best ? Thanks |

Are you android or apple? Apple needs wifi, android can use bluetooth.
If you have an android tablet or phone I would push you to use that and get a bluetooth adapter. Thousands of them out there, just get something under $15 on amazon that has lots of good ratings. I have a couple of these, one in every car. https://www.amazon.com/Veepeak-Bluetooth-Sc...=bluetooth+obd2 |

For day to day driving, I use Google Maps as it seems to give very accurate traffic updates and faster routes when available. Do any of you feel that Waze does a better job?

Van Waze is google maps, they were acquired in 2013 by Google. . Waze is where Google gets their data for Google Maps.. Google maps will possibly get you there faster, but Waze will tell you every little issue along the way as its a community driven application. You want to know where the police are? Waze. You want to know where the big pot holes are? Waze. You want to know where theres a tire in the road? Waze. I use waze every mile I drive.... Its saved my ass more times than I can count. I dont even bother with my radar detector anymore. Waze tells me where the cops are 10 miles ahead or if they have been spotted in the area.. |

I'm trippin' all over the east coast presently - Mapquest has the voice that navigated me through the mountains of SW Pennsylvania to Fallingwater with no problems. Waze for traffic patterns and times, road signs for gas stops and eats. All on my phone.

Check to see if you have the latest Google Maps program. I just planned a trip with google maps on my iphone. I use it as my GPS on my motorcycle, and use my Android phone. Just made a 12 stop trip for my labor day motorcycle trip. After you enter your first set of start & destination, 3 little dots will appear tap those and a menu will come up and one is add stop. You can add stops, drag around the order. Is awesome. I used Waze once on a 8 hour ride sucked up 5 gigs of data.......... May have been my settings but never again.
