I built and sold this car back around 2001. I shipped it to Michigan but have found pics of it back here in California. Is the current owner a member here?

Seems like it was on Ebay a few years ago. Is it Mopar powered?
Nice job on the rear fenders (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif)

Chip I think that it is owned by an older gentleman. I also believe that he is local. I saw him in a Pomona and also saw a Facebook post somewhere in the South Bay. I don't think he is on "the World"

No info on the location, just wanted to say it's very tastefully done, and yes, the rear fenders are lovely. I'd probably be looking for it too... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

That would be awesome to find it local. Rudy, I didn't know that you found it at Pomona Swap. I did find a youtube video of it at Pomona and that's why I thought it ended up out here again.
It was a fuel injected Small Block Chevy with a 915 gearbox that I put a quaife LSD and tall ring and pinion.
Keep your eye's open guys!

You are so right Joe....
The rear fenders are outstanding.
I'd have those over GT flares in a minute

Check the VIN in the VIN database on 914world.com (or the old 914club.com)? Not sure if you could reach out to the DMV to look for owners...

I loved them fenders as well. Big gentle sweep and covered 8" fuchs with 245 wide rubber. Had a guy down here in San Diego do the metal work. He now works solely for a rich guy on his collection. Ran 12 seconds flat in the quarter mile and I rolled in to the power slow enough to wave at the people for the first 100 feet.

Love the wing. Did you make or buy it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

I made that wing. used a big sheet metal brake and formed all the aluminum parts from 2 pcs then welded them together. Then there was a surf board shop that was local and he overlaid carbon fiber on the wing. Its all the small things like that is why I kick my self for selling it. Here's another shot of the wing

Yep in was in March of 2013. I saw the car driving down the winding roads to the Pomona complex and flagged him down. He was gracious enough to let me see it and was real clear about not being the builder. He had a placard in the are that said ": I will not go into the night quietly". These are the pictures that I took.

That sure is funny that I sell and ship it to Michigan years before I met you and you run into it at Pomona still years before we meet and now we are building our cars together.

Yeah I when I was inspecting the car, I was admiring the professional level of work that was done. And yes 2 years later we would meet on this board and are now working on a project together. That is pretty cool.

I seen and talk to the owner of this car at a cruise night in Redondo Beach, Ca. about 2 years ago.

Not the silver car that you are looking for but the red tube frame car you built. I can not belief it ended up like this.
