Slide 11 of 11: The 916 is an ultra-rare hardtop-only version of the mid-engine 914 equipped with a 2.7-liter 911S-sourced flat-six. Only 11 were built, meaning seeing one anywhere outside a museum or collection is extremely unlikely.

Sweet! I idolized that car as a kid.

I had a book that was all about 914's (when I was 15?) and there was some cool info in it about 916's. My uncle always said they didn't make that car because it was too fast ??? I guess I had to build my own to find out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

You seem to be forgetting about the 75/76 cars. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I would rather have the 75/76 bumpers then those.

I thought the 916s were equipped with the 2.4 of the 911S (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
