- Mark your items "SOLD" once you sell them. Please do not ask to have ads removed. Ads will automatically hide themselves after 30 days. We also ask that you leave your pricing in the ads to help others determine fair market value for future sales.

California plates original free and clear comes with original 73 and 74 sticker you choose which year car you have and registered with DMV super cool.....sold

If you remove the 1974tag, you’ll probably find a 1972 tag. Those plates would have been issued to a late ‘71 or ‘72..

These are indeed the correct series for a '73 / early '74 car. The '73 series plates are letters G-K and possibly early L. However many plates were not used until later into the year if they were shipped to smaller, regional DMV offices.

Congrats on acquiring this set of period correct plates!

Is California now allowing blue plates to be rergistered?

Yes Garrett. They require both plates to be in good condition, and clear in DMV. The rear plate has to have a registration year sticker that corresponds to the model year of the vehicle it will be issued to. Just a cool touch for a 70’s car...
