from reading on here it seems like it's hit or miss on people needing the shim when they get an ebay high torque starter. I need one for starter i bought but it didn't come with one or I misplaced it when i bought the starter last year. Kind of a long shot but is there anyone on here that has one sitting around that they didn't need?

What brand starter did you buy? The IMI starters don't need shims.
